Setting up two-factor sign-in
A second factor from your authenticator app protects the account even if the password falls into the wrong hands.

- Enable two-factor sign-in in the security settings.Your password is requested for this
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app and confirm the first code.Time-based codes (TOTP)
- Download the recovery codes and keep them separate from your password.Each code is usable once
The result: Every sign-in additionally requires the current code from your app. Sign-ins appear in the activity log.

What if it does not work?
- The phone with the app is gone.
- Sign in with a recovery code and set up two-factor again. Without codes, support helps after an identity check.
