The words ImmoDok uses
One word per thing: what Mappe, data room, access, release, transfer and handover each mean, and what they deliberately do not mean.

- Mappe (the property file)
- Everything that belongs to one property: master data, documents, measures, meter readings, tenancies, dates and the journal. Each property has exactly one Mappe. Not “file”, not “dossier”, one word
- Documents
- The files of a Mappe, sorted by type and versioned. The original stays byte for byte as you uploaded it. The “Documents” workspace spans every Mappe
- Coverage
- The percentage says how much of the ImmoDok checklist this property has evidence for. Not a certificate of completeness or of being ready to sell
- Measure
- Work done on the property with a date, cost, contractor and evidence, from a service call to a full renovation. Called “renovation” in some older screens
- Access
- Who may see or edit a Mappe. You grant it per person with a role and an expiry, and withdraw it whenever you like. In the Mappe under “Share”
- Data room
- What prospective buyers see of a Mappe: selected documents, logged delivery, no editing. A narrow kind of access, not a second copy of the data
- Disclosure
- Something about the property you tell the buyer explicitly. ImmoDok delivers it as a fixed version and logs the acknowledgement. The content is your statement, not ImmoDok’s
- Transfer
- The Mappe changes holder inside ImmoDok: the person taking over keeps it running, you keep your evidence. No change of title to the property, that is the notary’s work
- Handover
- The appointment on site: meter readings, keys, defects, photos, the protocol and both parties confirming it. Signed on the device or on paper, not a qualified signature
- Release
- One party’s explicit approval inside the handover flow, which lets it continue. Only there, for sharing the word is “access”
The result: The application, its emails and this help centre use the same word for the same thing, and you can see where documentation ends and a legal transaction begins.

What if it does not work?
- An older text still says “file” or “dossier”.
- It always means the Mappe. If you find a screen that uses another word, tell support; the vocabulary is maintained as one set.
- Is a transfer the same as a sale?
- No. A transfer only concerns the digital Mappe inside ImmoDok. Contract, payment and the change of title happen outside and are neither checked nor replaced here.
