Emergency access for trusted people
Someone you trust can ask for read access to your documents if you cannot be reached. You are told at once and can reject; access opens only after your waiting period.

- Open Settings › Emergency access and "Vertrauensperson benennen": name, e-mail address, waiting period (3, 7, 14 or 30 days) and which properties.At most two people; you confirm with your password
- The person receives an invitation and accepts it with their own ImmoDok account.The invitation is valid for 7 days; "Einladung erneut senden" sends a new link
- When they ask for read access you get an e-mail and a notification at once, then reminders after 24 hours, at half-time and 24 hours before it opens."Ablehnen" or "Jetzt freigeben" in Settings › Emergency access
- Without a rejection, access opens after the waiting period. The person can view your documents and download them one by one, and change nothing.The log shows every document opened
- When you sign in again, access you did not grant yourself ends. "Zugriff beenden" works at any time.Access you granted yourself stays until you end it
The result: If you are unable to act, someone you trust reaches the insurance policy, contracts and deadlines without anyone needing your password.
Important: Emergency access is not a lasting power of attorney (§ 1820 BGB) and replaces neither a certificate of inheritance nor a will. It only allows viewing the documents in ImmoDok. In case of death the heirs take precedence and can have it ended through support.

What if it does not work?
- The invitation has expired.
- Click "Einladung erneut senden" for the person. The old link then stops working.
- I am a trusted person myself. Where do I ask?
- In Settings › Emergency access, section "Für wen Sie Vertrauensperson sind", with "Lesezugriff anfragen".
